Wine Price List
Fine wines can be made from 4-, 5-, 6-, and 8-week wine kits. The 4- to 5- week wines are designed for drinking straight away,
while the 6- and 8-week kits are better if you can age them for a few months up to 4+ years – if you can wait! In our experience, the white wines are usually ready for drinking right after bottling and the reds tend to be a bit tannic up front, therefore, ageing will help it to soften and develop its complexity.
The major difference amongst the wine kits is in the juice. The speedier wines have a higher concentrated juice ratio to pure juice and require more water. The wine kits that take some time to make have a higher pure juice ratio to concentrate, called compound juice, and many of our premium kits come with crushed grape packs, for that true, on-the-skins fermentation. These grape packs are variety-specific and add to the aromatic, flavour, colour and body characteristics of the wine.
Our wines come from vineyards all over the world, from as far away as South Africa and as close as our own backyard in British Columbia. We take the utmost care in making your wine, making sure all our equipment is clean and sterilized, so we can give you the absolute best wine for you to drink and to make those special occasions that much more special.
At the shop, we are currently trying out some 23 litre, 100% fresh juice pails from California. No added water, no sulphites or fining agents added, just yeast. Although these fresh juice wines take longer (about 2-3 months), we are hoping to promote these along with our other great wines.
Feel free to ask any questions you may have about the wines with our Wine Gal, Ji. If she doesn’t have the answer for you, she’ll do her best to get it to you.
To your health!
